The Trial of Morgana Grey

Morgana Grey was a mysterious figure known for her knowledge of herbs and strange rituals. Villagers whispered that her home reeked of incense and bone dust, and that she spoke in odd, ancient phrases. Her fate was sealed when a local boy claimed he saw her talking to a black crow under the full moon. Brought before the village council, Morgana faced a grim trial with no one to speak in her defence.

Bartholomew found her guilty with little hesitation and sentenced her to be burned at the stake. As the flames rose around her, Morgana’s screams echoed through the village, filling the villagers with a fear that would haunt them long after. Some swore they saw her shadow twist into monstrous shapes as the fire consumed her, and that her voice could still be heard whispering curses on windy nights.
