Public Relations & Community Engagement

The Socialiser is the Society's principal representative at village gatherings and other occasions where a little charm may prove useful.

She maintains relationships with the local population, attends important social functions and ensures that the Society remains well informed about village affairs. Her network of contacts is extensive. Her knowledge of local gossip is remarkable. Her willingness to reveal her sources is practically non-existent.

She is frequently sighted near refreshments and has been known to extend a brief appearance into a lengthy engagement.

The Society considers her work invaluable, although the precise boundary between community engagement and gossip remains under review.
